Starting a nano tank, trying to keep it really simple. Managed to pick up a brand new red sea max nano for $400 (without a stand), been sitting around for about a month and I finally decided to put it in my bedroom!

After doing some research on the best dry rock, it seemed like many people endorsed reef cleaners to have the best phosphate free dry rock around. I picked up 30 lbs so I would have some room to play with. In the end I only used 2 rocks, probably not even 15 pounds.

Gonna vacuum the bottom eventually, excuse the mess :x

Is it full yet?...lol. Looking good!

Cycling ... Just put half a shrimp in there :)

Meanwhile, been putting together my water mixing station. Tried to keep it simple and clean.

I used Uniseals from BRS and a maxijet 1200 for the pump. Seems to be doing just fine, except I had to super glue the tubing to the maxijet to make it leakfree (Clamps couldn't do the job).

Very nice mixing station!

Thanks guys :) I was going to go bare bottom at first but I don't like how dirty it looks all the time... so I just ordered some tropic eden mini flakes. Too impatient to wait for the aragasnow :x

Meet my friend, Sesame :) I really want to add another fish, but I'm worried about aggression.. anyone have any suggestions on what type of fish I could add? Right now this guy is the only fish in the tank.
