Red Sea Metric to Standard fitting

On the return pump I am doing hard plumbing and am using 3/4 pvc. I wrapped a ton of plumbers tape around it to make it snug but should probably convert to metric? I see BRS has a converter for about $10. Anyone use it and does it for properly? Connecting to split joint on the 750xxl

I haven't, but it's probably worthwhile to get so that you can plumb it properly.
