I purchased 4 test kits from BRS over the last month all had expiration dates from 10/24 to 10/26. I received the Red Sea Nitrate Pro test kit today it has an expiration of 09/22 which means I would likely throw it out after consuming only 30% of it, based on the expiration date. The question is; has anyone purchased the Red Sea Nitrate kit...does it just have a short shelf life, or has it been sitting on the shelf for an extended period? (Red Sea kit is just a refill kit and it's still $29.00)
BRS said, 'if expiration is less than 90 days they won't sell it, anything else they consider acceptable to sell'. Seems inappropriate to me based on the fact that most test kits are stated to complete100 tests.
I bought a Hanna HR nitrate tester. The expiration on the packets are 10/26, but you can't currently find the reagent.
