Hi,
I need help figuring out my nitrate. I always have a tough time trying to determine the color. Please help me.

Attached is the vial after the reagent reaction. For my test, I added 15 ML RO water and 1 ML tank water.

Thank you,
Vamsi.

I can't figure out how do to the test when its higher then 4ppm

Hopefully someone can guide us

The colors IMO are not really meant to be an exact measurement .....but a "ballpark" roundup rundown to see kinda where you're at.

The only true exact measurement is a completely clear test vial showing its 0.

Imo....

The color only gives you a ballpark rough estimate. The only true exact reading is a clear vial showing 0.

Spin the clear the bottle around till it lands on a color that matches your regent bottle and then multiply x 16 (since you diluted your tank water) to get your actual nitrates. Just guessing by the picture its between 2 and 4 which is a stretch since 2 x 16 = 32 and 4 x 16 = 64

Thank you, this makes sense. So this way, my nitrates are between 32 and 64 PPM ?

Your testing high range when you have it diluted. Look on the card for the corresponding number, on the right side of the chart is your number also make sure you look while it's in the slot to get a true color.

So if it points to .25 its actually 4ppm for high range

thank you for pointing it out. I wish Hanna comes with a Nitrate test, would be so much easier on everyone.
