I have trouble reading my red sea test kit if the nitrates are above ten. The tint of the pink just throws me off.

I'm thinking around 15-20ppm?

What do yall think?

I saw another thread about this and there's was darker than mine and people were saying 25-30.. the color pink is just not the right shade to judge it imo.

Could you dilute it by doubling the water with rodi so it gets in the 0-10 range and then just multiple times 2?

Very important to read results in natural light. If you have led lighting in the room, there will be red hues that throw off the readings.

K, I'll try that. That may be what's making the shade be so far off. Thanks

Color matching test kits is also not a perfect science. After some practice, you will get good at noticing the colors in between the different color swatches on the card and guesstimating the appropriate levels.
