Red Sea No3 test 5 mls or 16 mls?

My old RS nitrate test used 5 mls for the testing sample. The NOPOX testing kit calls for 16 mls. I'm confused.

The problem I am having is when I ordered a refill for my No3 test I started getting grey clumps in my testing sample. I am trying to eliminate "user error."

I have 2 types of RS test kits. The marine care uses 5ml and gets grey specs all the time that are the B part not dissolving fully after the 60 second shake.
The Algae control uses 16ml and I haven't notice it getting grey specs.
I've never ordered the reagent refills so I don't know if they are common but only the A bottles spear to have any difference.
Both are new and have experatuons in 2018.

Thanks for the clarification. I bought a refill so I wonder if I'm suppose to use 5 or 16. It wasn't for the NoPoX. I think I just need to get a new test not the refill.
