Was playing around with some numbers tonight, the Red Sea nitrate kit has both low range (0-4.0ppm) and high range (4.0 -64ppm) measurements. The low range uses 16ml of tank water, the high range is 1ml tank water and 15ml RODI water. Got me thinking, would these numbers be correct if I wanted to come up with 2 other mid range tests? For my SPS system ideal range is 5-6ppm while my LPS system is about 10ppm, testing at these new levels makes much more sense.

The 8/8 line is correct (except perhaps the first row, which I would ignore, I don't think it is justified technically), but not the 12/4.

Based on the numbers, I presume you intended the third line to be 4/12, not 12/4. If so, then it is correct.

Thank you Randy, a bit of a brain you know what on the 12/4! Will make the change, hope this helps anyone else wanting a different scale to measure Nitrate on the Red Sea kit.
