Hey everyone I have a Red Sea 425 my question is does any have problems with unwanted food going down the overflow? I feel like nothing is going down my overflow my filter sock don’t really get dirty or clogged up and idea?

Not really sure. I have the original 425xl and everything goes done mine. The filter socks have to be changed every 3 days, but I’m a heavy feeder. How old is the tank?

So em I but I can leave the filters in as long as I can without the clogging

How much are you feeding? Are you seeing a lot of left over food in the tank?
I feed 1 cube in the tank and 1 at night and yes I think the food sits in the overflow and gets back in the main display

Do you have good circulation and do you have wave pumps?

I got 2 maxxspec gyres I have a lps/softies so I do run moderate flow. I do see alot of build up in the overflow

So your saying the extra food debris doesn't go down the overflow?

Maybe you can open up the return valve more
