Red Sea Peninsula 650 (Pics!)

Looks awesome! I’m planning a 750xxl build for this summer.

How’s the Red Sea skimmer so far? I’ve read some very mixed reviews here, particularly regarding noise.

Great looking tank. I like the looks of the ceiling mounted lights. I'm planning on doing the same. Given the weight of the 3 lights and mounting bar did you have to hang from studs in the ceiling or is the wire held from toggles in the drywall only?

Also, from a wire management standpoint, where did you place the light power supplies? Were the cords long enough to hide them in the cabinet?

You had me at peninsula. :)

Those and cubes get me every time.

Very nice setup.

Thanks! The skimmer has been good so far, a little louder than expected but it has only been running for less than a day... will try and post a review on it in a few days.

I had the same concern with trying to find a stud but the HMS Hanging Kit expands into the ceiling and I can hold up to 50lbs per clip. The lights and bar aren’t heavy and thankfully not a problem!!

I ran each power supply cable tucked into the bar and then down the side of the tank with plenty of room to reach under the cabinet. ... zip tied all the cables together and plan on wrapping in white to conceal further.

Nice work. Gotta love the Red Sea units !!!

Tanks is doing well but I've been hit with what I think is a dino outbreak. Any advice on how to remove and prevent??

Nice tank and beautiful fish....hope you don't have any jumpers!

If my house looked that nice (in eyes of a fish), last thing on my mind would be jumping.

First attempt at a video about one month in....
Should have filmed before feeding but it's only the beginning. Everything has been pretty good and the Red Sea skimmer has broken in nicely and isn't loud. Currently have the Torq with Carbon off. I have gotten conflicting feedback about having it tumble or keep in a media cup and allow the water flow through. Can anyone provide some experience with either and the preferred method? Should I replace with or add GFO to the other side?

pH 8.6
Salinity 1.025
Ammonia 0

57W UV Sterilizer getting installed tomorrow and a water change...

Thanks for looking at appreciate everyone's suggestions!
