Don’t discount the fact your test kit may be giving you a false reading. My first Red Sea Pro Phosphate kit kept telling me I had 0.25 ppm PO4 when it was really 0. It also told me that my tap water and RODI was 0.25 ppm. The kit was in date but simply faulty. When I bought a new kit it correctly reported 0.0. Perhaps take a sample to your LFS to get them to check it and confirm your result.

I tested it with my api test kit and it said it had phosphates but what I found wierd was that the di resin inside the chamber turned brown really fast so im wondering if it worn out already somehow after 1 use
