Red sea Prizm skimmer Q's?

So is there anyway to make the skimmer more effective rather than defective ??

I forgot i had one in my basement lol Its running in vinegar water now cleaning. Don't know the size but somthing like 14 tall and look like 9-10 wide. Its going on a 15 gall softy tank im starting.

I've got one I'm about to put on a 20 gallon. I'll check back to this thread when I set it up.

Lol ok After the paint dries Im setting this one up to. For now its running in a vinigar water mix.
