Hello all.
I am think out using the RCP for mixed aquarium.
The manual says my talk size need 36ml. For foundation B. I am using the powder mix, does it mean I dose 96ml per day ? Was the manual based on liquid foundation b ?
Welcome to R2R and thanks for joining the forums.
I use the Red Sea foundation elements and if your using the powder version you can either add it in powder form straight out of the tub into your sump (not the display), or mix it into a solution and use an autodoser which is what I do.
As to how much you need to add depends on your current Alkalinity level, water volume, and what your trying to achieve.
The standard B powder mixes to a ratio is 100 grams per 1 litre of RODI water, so a 1kg tub will make 10 litres of solution in total. This solution will then be dosed as follows:
1 ml/100 liters = 0.012meq/l 0.034dKH
So you just need to find your daily usage, bring the levels to were you want them, and then add the daily usage each day to keep them there.
The standard liquid versions, have different dosage amounts to the powder versions so you just need to follow the correct set of instructions.
Hopefully this helps?
