Did anyone notice Red Sea changed their Par distribution chart to reflect lower par values than original chart? I have a Reef Led 50 that I keep as a spare and I have been looking for reviews on the 50 with SPS in the max nano and noticed the two different charts. I remember Red Sea saying that the Reef Led 50 can grow ”anything” .... ”anywhere” in the max nano with vivid colors. Are they saying these lights are not as powerful as originally thought?

One would need to overlay the two but they did change the scale coloring (looks like it changed by 50PAR on the scale). Thus the new chart would appear "less" than the original but it may be the same. The 100 PAR would be the best to compare. See how dark blue the 100 PAR is in the updated map but it is mid to light blue in the old map.

I was looking at the yellow gradient coverage that not only goes deeper, but wider. Whereas the new chart yellow (higher par) goes less deep and wide. Btw, I’m a huge fan of Red Sea products....Just disappointing if it is less powerful as I purchased the light based on the original par distribution chart.

I also noticed that and was about to write them an e-mail until looking at it closer, seems pretty similar.

What lighting schedule do you have for your tank? I'm running two Red Sea Reef LED 50s on my 95 Wave tank and think it may be time for an upgrade.

Thanks! :)

My max nano is SPS dominant, so the Reefled 50 had too much shading and too low of par for me to feel confident keeping my SPS healthy. I’m currently using a G5 Blue which is covering and coloring everything up nicely.

Two questions:
Which one is the "real" PAR distribution chart?
Can we trust anything like that coming from the manufacturers of any other source?

I’ve just had a few sps get kinda like burned up if that makes sense
