Red Sea REEF LED90 Frequently loses connection

I have a Red Sea Reef LED90 that has only been in use for 1 year and it drops connection to my WiFi network daily. Only remedy is to reset connection... Anyone have this issue or know how good Red Sea customer service is with replacement?

Red Sea has been great replacing anything under warranty.

is there any firmware updates that can be done? i bought mine when they first came out. the connectivity issues were awful. red sea is very responsive and they will help you through it. i gave up on the connection and just ran it offline. helps so you dont mess with the settings. but after about a year i wanted that option and i contacted red sea and did the update they did. i have not lost connection in over a year.

Which wifi signals does the light accept? If it does both 2.4 and 5g and you have smart connect on your router where it finds the best signal it will kick it off trying to change signals.

This happens to me but not with the lights. My Reef wave 45 disconnects daily. I don't connect it anymore. It's also the closest piece of equipment to the actual wifi router

It was a firmware. I've had issues with connectivity with my rl90 for over a year. Gave up. And apparently during the time I didn't adjust anything they did a firmware update and it fixed my problem. I got the reefdose and it started off strong. Then it had connectivity issues. Contacted red sea. They worked up another update and that has worked since. I see they have another update for the reef dose. But im not going to update because. Mine had issues after updates in the past. Wish they would post a change log with their updates

It's uses 2.4. Doesn't even discover my 5g if I remember correctly
