I'm sure this has been discussed before but these lights are total absolute garbage. I have 3 90s and one 50. The app is terrible, the lights disconnect daily, when you can get them to connect you cant change the schedule. You delete the light and midway through adding the light back in it loses connection. Stay away, buy any lights but these. Red Sea you suck!

Heck I'll trade you 2 G5s and you can deal with the Mobius app..
I haven’t had any issues with the mobius app but I don’t use it very often and only for mp40s/10s and return pumps. There’s no way it can be worse than the Red Sea. One won’t even broadcast a Wi-Fi signal, one I had working but only had to reset it 2x a day, but I had to redo the network so that required resseting everything. My led50 has no issues and one led90 disconnects constantly but still runs the program. 50% working rate not bad Red Sea you bums

Crazy. Reef beat runs flawless for me. Mobius on the other hand. Yea it will run the programs but if you try to change anything then it won't connect. After shutting power on/off a few times it will connect. I have maxspect jumps on another tank and that app runs better than both of them with lights that are 1/2 the price.

I’m running ReefBeat with two ReefLed 90s, two ReefWave 25s, and a ReefDose 4. I’m not having any WiFi problems at all, and I’m very happy with all of it. That doesn’t mean your problems and frustration aren’t real—I just wanted to share the other side and let others know that it’s not always trouble with RedSea.

The newer stuff is better. Two of the 3 LED90 were early models. Those are horrible, no two ways around it. My LED 50 I bought new and it has no problems. I going another LED90 off a local reefer barely used, ie late model.

Former redsea 90 user here. Did my tank right and no problems for 2 years. Mixed reef w big derasa. Guess they threw some decent par.

Remember when you would just plug a light in and turn it on? These are the kinds of results you get when you have app only or app dependent controls. Good luck when the manufacture no longer supports the app for older products and turns them into paperweights.

You mean like old iPads and iPhones

Old anything anymore. Engineered obsolescence. The lights in my garage are older than I am and they still work when I flip the switch.

I have 4 of the 160s and 2 45s gyres and 2 dosig units and no issues. Once in a while a 45 disconnects but no biggie

How do you like them compared?
Running them on the ab+ template on 65% overall intensity and I really enjoy the look and spread. I was running the redsea 90s at 100% blue and white so 15k spectrum which I liked but the radions smooth out the tank. I like a whiter tank and like the pro model to adjust if needed. Corals seem to like the change and are responding positively.

That’s fair. I can see how improvements could have been made over time.

I have an issue that I open the application and then it shows all the info I usually see and levels the lights are running at 100% 75% 0% etc. Then even though as a heading at the top of the percentage read out area it says the program that I have manually invented and set but I click into the led's to adjust the settings and it then tries loading the led's........ 1 why? when it's displaying the darn things anyway and then 2 most annoyingly it switches the whole app down with a message that reads 'Led's do not run any program' I'm ready to get the baseball bat and beat them out of the hood either that or throw the phone in the tank, it's really getting to a 'hulk smashy smashy' kind of point now :confused-face: does any one have any idea how to make the Led's or at least the reefbeat app recognise they are running a program and are even switched on at that moment too
