Red Sea ReefCan Auto Top Off Float Valve?

I love my Red Sea ReefCan Auyo Top Off Reservoir. It fits very well in my cabinet. Filling it is tricky as I am prone to do something else while It is being replenished. Has anyone installed a float valve in the ReefCan?

Hi Kven, I see that this comes in two sizes. I assume you're using the 18 litre version and not the 40 litre (which would be enormous). How long can you be absent and rely on this ATO reservoir to keep your ATO functional? I'm very sorry but some of this I simply didn't understand. Why do you ask about a float valve? Would you like to ATO your ATO reservoir from another ROI water source? or would you simply like the valve to shut down the water during the re-filling process while you become distracted doing something else? Your experience on this is precious. Thank you very much for any feedback.
