Red Sea Reefer 170 - Absolute Best Return Pump and Skimmer

Not that I'm going to purchase but I'm always interested in what the benchmark is.

If money was no object, what would you consider the best Return Pump and Skimmer for a RS Reefer 170?

The vectra s1 and bubble magus in our reefer 170 make life hospitable do me and my fellow corals. You humans think too much of what is best for you.

I run the eheim compact 2000 for return pump and bubble magnus curve 5 skimmer in my 170. Both are rock solid with zero issues. Higher price does not always equate to best option in this hobby.

I'm sure there are some other more expensive options, but I would be tempted to go with the Reef Octopus Regal line skimmer and the RO Varios return pump.

What I have targeted right now is the RO Varios-2 and RO 110SSS skimmer.

This set up ROCKS in my situation... but I also have an Apex and I'm using the variable speed cable.. super tunable and cranks out the gunk.

the Classic 110 skimmer body is not the easiest to clean.. citric acid bath is the only real method.
