Red Sea Reefer 170 Turf Algae Scrubber

I saw some other folks that had asked questions about putting a turf algae scrubber in the sump of a Red Sea Reefer 170. I did it, here is the pic. This is an Algae Clean Scrubber ACS 10-SFS-G3. It appears to be an eBay only item direct from the person who makes them. The shelf is just the cheapest acrylic shelf i could find on Amazon. It partially rests on the sump. It is plumbed off of my return pump with a 5/8" 5/8" 1/2" barbed tee and a 1/2" in barbed valve.

Nice. I added the RAIN2 from Santa Monica Scrubbers...had to remove my skimmer for it to fit. Been working excellent in managing nutrients by itself for months now so skimmer isn't missed at all. This is nice alternative for those who still need skimmers.
