Where did you purchase the UV?

A uk company maiden head aquatics i bought the vecton 300 rated for 300 litres max speec about 1000litre per hour is rated but im running a little less than 600 litres for more contact time

@merereef Don't forget the UV light produces a little bit of ozone and breaks down wastes.

Really? Didnt know that but now you mention it does make sense! I have noticed my skimmate has gone really dark too

72 hours later and dinos are now gone...sand needs syphoning though

My nitrates at 2.5 but dont mind it if it gets to about 5 might start with lower than recommend dosage...did you notice any difference in corals? If so what did you see?

No that's why I stopped using it all I noticed was higher nitrate

I changed to TM k and a elements in the end

Final placement of all the plugs

I decided to connect the dosing pump up to dose calc and alk but what a nightmare that was. The calibration wasnt right etc so i learnt that the jecod dosing pumps come with the rollers on the wrong way so i have switched them round

Below the left is the wrong way and right is the correct way. Did this and calibrated the doser perfectly

I also noticed after a day or so the dosing lines had air in them and could not figure out what the priblem was... untill i realised that the tubing that fits the bubble magus containers needed to be tighteneed more so its not sucking in air.. its now perfect
