2 XR15s about the same as one 30. I have the XL300 tank just slightly bigger then yours. You will need 2 XR15 lights. I donr know much about kessil spread and par.

U would b better served w 2 xr 15s rather then an xr30. Better coverage and par across the whole tank. I have 2 xr15 s in my xl300 and it works for me. Mixed reef more toward sps

That's a coral wonderland there. I have diffusers on my XR15s but are you running different degree angles or something?

I started my Reefer 250 with the Kessil AP9X which is basically two A360X's and it was definitely plenty of light. Covered the tank with light well. I switched to one Neptune SKY and it is also plenty of light with great spread. I don't have any experience with the Radion but can definitely recommend the SKY. It is a killer light and so easy to use. I only have the SKY running at 65% on my mixed reef. Yes, I know I have some algae issues.....

Beautiful tank, of course one light can be configured to work because you scaped your tank around the set up with a high point in the middle. This still only allows you a specific list of options for SPS placement. LPS and softs have more available light space. 2 lights have way better par coverage and of course redundancy in case one fails.

Hey OP you can always start with one light and see how things go over a period of time. It's easy to add another light if you determine you need it at a later point. Your scape design and coral choices will probably be what you base you final light set up on.

I’m a bit late here.. but I also just recently set up a Red Sea Reefer 250 G2 and 1 Kessil AP9x has been excellent so far.. (not much of a history, just basing off how it has been so far compared to my previous set up).

I have the eco tech diffusers and the shades were made by @chemisfun11. Happy to have been introduced to him and customer service has been great. Always responds and willing to work out specific design. These are his xr15 shades set at 45 degrees

What do the shades do exactly and if I may ask what settings and intensity for your XR15s?
