Building my first reef tank. Red Sea reefer 250...Just finished up the scape and lighting situation. Will be adding water/live sand this week and beginning the cycle. Added the split return from Broadfield as well...loving the aesthetics. Lights are Kessil AP700 from PANONHAS.

Thanks everyone! Can't wait to get the water in there...work seems to get in the way of everything I want to get done!

That AP700 looks great over the tank.

Got any sump pics?

As of now definitely a skimmer once it cycles. I am planning to take it real slow and let it cycle for a while...especially using dry BRS reef saver. Leaning toward the reef octopus 110INT. I went with an eheim compact 3000 for the return. No plans for any reactors at this point. I will definitely be looking at powerheads next as well! Lots to figure out in the next couple months.

Pongo -- the sump is just the stock red sea one. I plan on turning the included small ATO reservoir into a fuge and add a larger one for ATO duties.

Looking good, let me know if you have AP700 questions.

my biggest question right now is how to setup the auto programs. Obviously the manual mode is pretty simple with the app. Do you use a custom schedule and can you share things like that? Of course it matters what's in the tank etc.
