I purchased a used RSR 250 and the original owner took outstanding care of this tank. He did not get the sump option though. I really need someone to talk me out of adding one. What are my options here? The main need is I do want to have a refugium, I have always had one since keeping tanks. Am I going to be able to buy the plumbing kit to add this? I am not seeing much looking on google on where to buy something like that. The original RSR 250 sump kits look hard to find and when I do find one they have no stock. Crystal Reef Aquatics made one that fit but I hear they went out of business.

This is looking like the right kit. I have never ordered from this company, has anyone got feedback how reputable they are? To add this do I just have to drain the built in sump/overflow area?

Not sure about other folks but iv bought from them and all went great.

This is the one for the E-260 which is the RSR 250

Yeah I was being dumb when I typed that, I actually did order the right thing. I was trying to figure out which tank I actually purchased, which was actually the E-260

Congrats!!! I have the E-260 and added the sump to it. It makes water changes really easy, just put a pump with a hose in it an pump out the water, put the pump in the new water bucket and pump it in.

Would you mind posting some pictures?

No problem!

Got him 5 years ago from Petco for $20, (they were shutting their saltwater section down). He's bigger than my fist now.

Maybe he is not as big as the picture shows, but he really looks good. Petco actually has reef stuff? I have never checked local, I figured they had just basic equipment and nothing else.

Petco got rid of fish and corals, as you say only basic reef stuff. Did you get AI Hydra's or Reef LEDs with the tank?

Yes, they are good lights! Spectrum is made specifically for corals. Red Sea has 4 Youtube videos on lighting you should check out.

Yeah those videos do make me feel better about the LED's, and the default settings.

I hated the stock sump and scoured the earth for an option that would let me fit all my gadgets and still not be insanely crowded. I ended up buying a custom sump from Elite Aquatics that integrates the Clarisea V2 and fills out the sump perfectly.

Wow, that takes up the entire stand, left to right! And is that Kimbo Slice?

What Size PVC is needed to plumb this tank? I have a friend that has a e260 and just got a sump for free. But He doesn't know what Size PVC to get to plumb it.
