I have been waiting for this week for a year now! I purchased a 29 gallon aqueon set march 13, 2016 to set up a clownfish tank, we know how that ends up. Unfortunately bad advise was given to me by a LFS here in Las Vegas and I went with the tank that should have been for fresh water. It had a t8 fixture on the lid and a hang on filter. Cheap aqueon tank that I could have gotten from Wally World for probably a third of the price. Well after that cycled I put a couple coral and fish in and I was hooked! Did a few upgrades to the tank but it still has two hang on backs running floss and carbon. I took the lid off and added a kessil a160we. The only thing that came good out of that tank is the nutrient export is horrible so I have learned to keep up on the water changes religiously! Now fast forward a year I pulled the trigger and purchased a Red Sea reefer 350!!! I planned on buying new but as I was asking questions on a local reef club I got messaged with a good deal. I went ahead and got the tank used with a rio return pump for $1000. So I guess this is my build thread! I'll add some pics as I progress!

4x54w ATI sunpower fixture is up running:
2 coral+
1 blue+
1 actinic
All ati bulbs

Also planning on setting up my kessil a160wes to supplement the t5s when I break the 29 gallon down.

If you start a build thread, post it here I'll follow along!! Nice to see what others are doing with the same tank.

I'll post a few pics tomorrow. I need to find the right size fitting for this return pump. it's the octo Varios 6. Darn fitting is to big for the hose that come with the Reefer

Brs sells fittings and even adapters for metric to us standard. I think I'm going to hard plumb the tank with purple pvc to match the skimmer I'll be purchasing.

I'll have to check them out, thanks. I want to hard plumb also but for now I just want to get it setup and get it cycled. I'm not using any like rock so it's going to take some time. Are you using a controller?

No controller yet. Not in the budget haha. I have 110 pounds of rock and sand coming Thursday from BRS. UPS guy is going to hate me!! Also probably won't be getting the skimmer till next month. But as long as I have the pump, heaters, rock and sand I can at least start the cycle !

Man I here you. I've been buying piece by piece for months now. going order my controller today.

What I did was install two connectable led light bars right over the doors. Got them cheap from home depot.
