Red Sea reefer 350 connecter between return pump and tank

The connector to my return tube have a diameter of 14 mm. This is less as the tube itself. I would think this reduces flow dramatically. Should I have another connector. It's from a red Sea reefer 350

Yes, but that adapter will be perfectly fine.
