Hi guys, complete noobie here. I finally narrowed down my 1st tank to the Red Sea Reefer 350. I'm deciding if I should go with the Deluxe Series that comes with the lights or just go with the tank itself and save myself some money and get some AI Primes? Or is there another recommendation on lights completely? I do plan on adding corals but thats way way down the line. Thank you in advance for your advise.

I have been keeping softies, LPS, and some SPS under these lights in a tank prior.

AI Primes are good, but with a 4' tank you might need more than two of them. In which case, the Hydras will work out cheaper.

I've been very happy with my 2 reefled90s on my 4ft tank. Mixed reef with basic SPS for now. Easy to setup and growth seems to be pretty good. (disclaimer I haven't tried any other LEDs so not sure if growth is slower than with other LEDs, but rate seems acceptable to me.)

Thanks for you insights.

I run 2 Aqua Illumination Hydra 32s on my RSR350.
Hi. Just setting up my 350 with two 32-s. (Upgrade) my other tank Jewel 240 has two Prime 16-s. Ive used the same settings as the 16-s but it doesn’t look right. The 32-s are 11 inch high from the water and 20cm from the edge of the tank. Any suggestions or setting changes. Cheers.

Hi Kol,

I hope that link works, its some great info.
