Need help from yall with red sea tanks. My buddy just got a used reefer 350 and has had problems with plumbing in the overflow box. The emergency drain was leaking and it was replaced but now the bottom half of the drain is leaking and the nut wont tighten and appears stripped.

He heard red sea doesn’t sell the nut and it should have been glued to tank and if removed tank is trashed. I find this very hard to believe but couldn’t he just scrap the red sea stuff and get a standard bulkhead and pvc to make his own?

Thanks for any help he is new to saltwater and off to terrible start:(

The glass is threaded for the Red Sea stand pipes. He can buy the standpipe or complete set he needs. Or possibly use some aquarium safe silicone on it. Look up @sithrico on YouTube. I believe he had a small leak?
