So I have a Reefer 350 on the way to my LFS for this Thursday. Just have a couple of questions for all of my fellow Reefer owners before it gets here:
1) Assuming the tank itself comes in a protected shipping crate - approximately how much bigger is the box than the tank itself? Or does it come outside of a box? My car can fit quite a bit more than most cars its size (I've transported a 55 gallon tank in it without incident, for example), but it does have its limits. Just trying to figure out whether I'll need to rent a van to get it home.
2) Has anyone added leveling feet to the stand? By my read, it looks like the Reefers don't come with leveling feet unless you're ordering an XL or larger tank. I hate shimming (never seems to work out right), but I know the floor is a little out of level. My current stand has leveling feet on it, and I'd prefer to stay with that leveling approach as opposed to shimming the tank. So much easier and more precise. If anyone has added leveling feet, which ones did you use? How have they performed?
