Red Sea Reefer 425 XL w/ MP10's?

I have a 55 gallon mixed reef tank and using 2 VorTech MP10 powerheads. Would like to avoid buying MP40'S, but concerned about the 1/2" glass being too thick for the MP10's. Please advise [emoji16]

This is what's in my tank now.....would like to keep them. I have a mix of easy to keep SPS, LPS, and Softies.

Didn't stay on a 1/2" 300 gallon, was trying to target a little area. Maybe look into a trade, 2 MP10's for a MP40.

MP10 works fine on the sides of my Reefer 425. The back glass is probably too thick, though I didn't try it.

All I see is that the front glass is 1/2" thick. Are the sides the same thickness?

Definitely pushing the upper limits but I've read people running mp-10s on 1/2in glass. Should be ok with the amount of flow with those corals. I don't see anything too demanding

Not to thread jack .. 3 MP40 good in a 525XL. Side aimed at eachother and up. And back middle ?

Yep, I just measured and it's 3/8".
