I recently setup my tank and today I started mourning my lights. I have a Reefer 625 and 3 Orphek Compacts with mounting arms. Is there a way to add the 3rd light in the center of the tank with the overflow in the way?

Depending on the mount I don’t see why not. I’ve trimmed my overflow lid to fit a clap on that section.

Just depends on how creative you are and the mount that comes with those lights.

I am able to remove a pieces from be overflow cover to fit the light but it will have to be offset. I guess most tanks are setup more for Radion or Hydra mounting arms.

The only thing Red Sea tanks are “set up for” are Red Sea lights. Everything else is just luck.

Can you hang your lights from the ceiling with cables?
Here’s mine as an example.

No. I am renting a house and do not want to suspend anything off of the ceiling. I am lucky that I was allowed to have an aquarium without putting down a $350 deposit since fish are considered “pets”.

So this is what I have to deal with. I wish Orphek made an extension to widen the legs apart enough to make it over the overflow to center the light

I think I would be looking at an alternative means of setting up those lights. Perhaps get some square aluminum tubing mount the lights to it. Then move two of those mounts to the ends of the tank and bridge the tank end to end.

I would have to find something that can hold the weight of the lights. They are not light.
