Red Sea Reefer Emergency Drain Location

I am in process of setting up a new Red Sea 750 XXL. I installed Theilings Compact Roller Mat which pretty much takes up the entire drain area of the sump. At this point I either need to soft plumb the emergency drain or hard plumb it some where else. That leads to the question, can the emergency drain be plumbed into another chamber in the sump? I would like to keep my hard plumbing so if I can put it in the return area or even over top of the filter sock area that would be great. This is the my first system with a sump so it is new territory for me.

It's not going to really matter. Dump it into the skimmer chamber. I would avoid plumbing directly into the return chamber. If water does occassionally flow through it, you might get micro bubbles pumped into the display

You can put it where ever you want. Mine goes into the skimmer chamber. It really shouldn't get much use.
