Red Sea Reefer Resell Value

New to this forum. I didn't know where to post this exactly so if this is the wrong place, please let me know.

What is the resell value for the Red Sea Reefer tanks? I have a Reefer 350 in white right now but am downgrading. As luck would have it, a guy local to me is selling his Reefer 250 (used a little over a year) for about 50% of what's on BRS.

Is 50% a good price? Want to know before purchasing the Reefer 250 as well as for when trying to sell off my 350.

50% is what can be expected with most items once used. Unfortunately, this does not hold true in our hobby. The reason is, things are mighty expensive to begin with so, a hit like that on an investment made is tough to accept. Generally, for a tank and/or equipment that has been used only for a year, I am seeing most people asking prices around 1/3 of retail... and getting it. Again, this harkens back to the general high initial investment so people are willing to pay more for used items. At 50% off retail and the tank and stand are in good shape you should be in a very good position.

I find Red Sea tanks sell quicker and hold higher valvue compared to other brands/custom
