Hey all!

Hoping this is the correct place to ask this question. I've had a reefer 450 set up for about a month now. I got it from a shop that had it as an empty display but there are some holes drilled inside the stand that held some apex equipment. My question is theses holes are now just open in my stand. Should i be concerned with moisture getting inside and eventually rotting away the wood? If it's something i should be concerned with what suggestions do you all have for filling these holes? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I would be concerned with any wood (MDF) that is exposed. I usually just put a few thick layers of oil-based primer/paint over those areas and recoat in a year or two if it looks like it needs it. You could also use a good marine varnish if you wanted.
