Red Sea ReefLed 90s

I have a Red Sea 350 tank with LPS and Softy corals. I’m currently running my Blue and White at 42%. If I run them any higher my zoanthids start to melt. I’ve read all the older post and most members seem to have SPS tanks. Just wondering what others are running. Thanks

Hey. I have a Red sea 250 with 2 of the reefleds (not sure which model ill comment back when i get home)

Im running 75% blue and 55% white - Gives a little more blue look. I suggest you rent a PAR meter and check par in areas. With this setting im at 20-50 in shaded zones
110-130 in majority of my tank and 180-230 in the highest most peaks (its like maybe 8 square inches total this high)

so real big question is at how high in the water column is your zoas? They can grow well under most light intensity just have to slowly build up or down to it.

can you post a photo of the tank?

Hey so mine are the 90s
Running 70% blue 50% white. So I doubt your lights are to bright.. unless your tank has 3 lights?

I have attempted to increase both blue and white intensity using the acclimation program but, I find any more light than the 50/15 setting is too much. Just my experience.

I have a pair of 90's on my 425 XL and similar to @Nairshire Reef I am running 50% blue and 10% white. I have a few Zoa frags mid tank and they are not stretching up for more light but seem quite happy.

I didn’t test for par but I ran mine 2x led90 both channels @ 100% w a mixed reef. Older tank pic w them running side and top down. Clam was happy.

I had the 160d which is twice stronger at 100% and no issue, the reef led arr not par monster ,they are not the cause of your coral melting for sure .50% on a 90 is way too weak,on my lps nano they were 100% all channel and zoas thrived

I switched lighting to 2 x xr15 g5 pros and I run the AB+ for 12 hours @85% intensity w hour ramps each side of the PP and my zoas r fine on a rack on the back wall. Something other then your lights I’m guessing

Yes. I do own my own PAR meter. My scape extends nearly to the surface of the water. Per your question I just now checked my values. Near surface, PAR is 260, middle of tank it is 180, and on sand bed it is 150. My corals (Duncan, Frogspawn, Leather hand and zoas) are all very happy.....as is my bubble tip nem.

When I formally did utilize the acclimation program, I believe I stopped around 70 blue and 50 white. Corals and nem were very unhappy.

If u have time would u mind taking a par measurement w both setting 100% white blue. Curious see map top middle and bottom. Ty. I have an xl300.

For par maps, Red Sea has some on their website for the ReefLEDs. I used those numbers when placing frags. You might already have seen them but Just FYI.

I have 3 of the Red Sea LED160s over my 310 and run the blues at 100% and whites at 20% with no issues.

No they are weak and in real situation you get even less par than what is written on their webside
