I recently purchased a Reefmat 500. Upon adding it to the sump, I removed the filter sock, glass etc. But still I couldn't fit it into the same area. I had to remove the refugium baffle to fit in. Is that it needs to be done? Red sea directions for 350 v1 doesn't talk about it.

Anyone who was able to fit into without baffle getting removed. Need suggestions

I’m a little confused here. I have a 350 v1 and there is no refugium and or baffle in the sump.

I meant refugium as the place after sock chamber and prior to Skimmer chamber. Baffle I meant the plate that separates the both
Doesn’t sound like a 350 v1 sump to me. I don’t have that.

Here is the pic. After removing filter socks, I couldn't fit my reefmat 500 in the place. So had to remove the separator and keep it next to skimmer. Maintenance is becoming a headache. I moved cheato next to drain pipe

That looks like the v3 sump. Sorry I can’t be of more help. I have my Reefmat installed in my v1 sump.
