Red Sea ReefMat vs. Reef Factory Smart Roller?

Wow my sump is a mess.
Lol, no worse than the one on my frag tank ;-). Thanks for writing me back on this I appreciate it. With the flex tube it's very similar to the way Red Sea did it, lol just much cheaper. Have a good Sunday and thanks again!

Here is what I used

Hello, I have decided to go with the Reef Factory, your hookup looks good.
To same myself time by getting to get the right fittings can you tell me exactly what you used to plumb it in, including size of flexible tube.
I have a Water ox so it is metric as well.

Did you ever install the reef factory in your waterbox? I'm in the same situation currently and trying to find a solution to plumb it in.

I haven't installed it yet, I ordered and received metric plumbing fittings, now it is a matter of finding the time to do it.

I have been using the RedSea Reefmat 1200 for a year. Works great with zero issues.

To reduce chances of motor burning I have it advance a longer amount each time which reduces the number of times the motor runs per day. I also load up in the fleece replacement when they go on sale. You can also save money on the fleece by buying from one of the China importers such as AliExpress.

I just got the reef factory m for the 6035 peninsula. Brs said the competing Red Sea reef mat that would fit would deplete too fast.

I’m waiting for the plumbing as the dang WB and the reef factory are both metric and I live in the US. Stupid to sell products in the US with metric plumbing and not include adapters.
I just bought a Reef Factory M,
My question is do I need to hard plumb to Mt drain, or just drop in it with the inlet underwater?

That's what I thought, then I started thinking about just submerging the inlet. I'll go with my first thought and your advice.
Thank you

I used something like this :

Not a good long term solution, I should change it :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:

I bought my RF medium from Champion Lighting.
I mentioned I would need an adapter for 1" pipe & there it was inside my package when it arrived.
I have also modified it a bit to raise the float switch so I could close that darn overflow that let out so much junk.
A higher water level inside but a much cleaner sump, and it still works great.
