I put the 1200 on my S-1000. I'd probably go with whatever RedSea recommends.
If your the least bit hand it is easy. You need a special knife kit to trim out the glass around existing socks. I have no idea where to get one, my Reefmat did not come with it, but my LFS let me borrow his.
I watched this video and was good to go.
Changing the mat is as easy as advertised. It will initially consume a lot more of the roll than you think, but over time it settles out to consume less of the roll. So get back up mat replacements. Mine first roll only lasted 2 weeks.
