Hello everyone, this thread will be dedicated for my Red Sea S1000 Build.

EQUIPMENT

Lighting - (2) 8 Bulb T5 Ati Sunpower Light Fixture

Return Pump - Vectra L2

Skimmer - Red Sea RSK 900

Wavemakers - (3) MP40

Heaters - (1) 600W Titanium Heater - BRS (1) 300W Titanium Heater - BRS

Salt - Trop Marin Pro Reef Salt

3 MP40s might not give you enough flow in the areas you want it (you may need 4).

Agree. It will be a sps dominant system so i will definately need more flow. I won't add any sps until about 6 months down the line so for now 3 mp40s should hopefully be enough. Once it's time to add sps I will add a couple ReefWave 40's on each end.

I like my ReefWave45s - you’ll be very happy with them.

I have a 900 and use 2 ReefWave 45s on each end and 1 RW25 in the middle mounted on the overflow flowing forward. I just added 2 Neptune WAVs to each side and turned the 2 RS45s vertically in each corner pointing one side along the back and the other forward down the sides. More than enough flow now. Red Sea makes a nice tank. Going to be a great build!

The aluminum stand appears really sturdy. It has a ton of bracing anywhere two pieces of extruded aluminum meet. 9 vertical pieces of extruded aluminum are holding up the tank which is pretty wild.

Great to hear you like the ReefWave 45s. I've heard mostly good things about them. I was hoping to buy them in a couple months but I'm leaning to buy them in a couple weeks instead lol

Hoping to revive this thread. Since my last update there has been a lot that has changed. Here are some pictures I’ve taken that are pretty recent.

Since these photos I have added sand.

I built the scape myself using Marco rock and cement. It was a pain to get the scape how I wanted, which probably took about a months work to get it just right, but well worth it in my opinion
