Red sea skimmer help, I'm loosing my mind!

So yesterday I had to pull my skimmer out because the screw that holds the adjuster together came loose. All I did was retighten the screw and put my skimmer back in. Ever since then my skimmer is constantly overflowing and filling my sump and d.t. with micro bubbles and I'm going insane. I've pulled the skimmer 5 times took it apart went step by step in putting it back together to no avail. Any ideas im loosing my mind.

It seems to me that he is sitting very high in the sump, how deep is it.
