Red Sea Skimmer Overflowing

I just purchased a Red Sea RSK 300 skimmer and when i set it up it immediately filled with water and started to overflow. I tried adjusting the valves multiple times to control the air flow, but it always overflows or does not produce enough bubbles. I tried researching how to fix this and I could not find anything. Is there anything I'm missing?

Sounds like the water level is too high relative to the skimmer. It should be around the red band on the control shaft. Try lowering the gate where water exits the sump compartment containing the skimmer, or raising the skimmer on something like egg crate.
