Worth the Money or Not/ I am done with reef octo skimmers, They don t reply to my posts and my results less than Impressive with the skimming On 125 FO heavily fed tank. Thanks input please.

Here is my less than professional opinion.
I assume that you are referring to the newish RSK line of skimmers.
Here are my pros and cons as I see them.

Pros:
compact pump in body construction
Proven Sicce pump
Water adjustment knob is has interlocking teeth that limit the rotation. You know what is open and what is closed. They call this gear driven... that is a stretch.
Built in (MANUAL) neck cleaner
Easy assembly

Cons:
Low quality build. lightweight moulded plastic, not acrylic
Collection cup capacity reduced by 20% to allow you to see what is inside?
No automatic neck cleaner
Price point

Would I buy one... Not at their current price point. IMO they are overpriced for their build quality and featureset.

Alternative brands to this skimmer with an equivalent build quality? Simplicity or Aquamax
Alternative brands to this skimmer with an equivalent price point? Tunze or Deltec

Hi, I been using the rsk 300 on a 60g for a year. I like it produces great skimate never need’s adjusting and I turn the neck cleaner once per week.

I’m pretty happy with my RSk 300 as well. Do I wish I had something nicer? yes. But that’s the case with everything in this hobby. Lol
