I have the upgraded sump for my Max e260. Has anyone removed the bracket that holds the filter socks? How did you do it?

I dont own that one but id imagine cutting the silicone bond would probably do it.

I have the sump upgrade, but use the sock brackets. Why would you want to remove it?

I had though of removing mine to accommodate a Clairisea roll filter. There is a guy on youtube that did his and its a ton of work. Also, on mine it is part of the sump design to tie the front and back together, It could bow if the glass is not thick enough ;Blackeye Not sure on yours
Now I learned this from trying the Triton method, I cut the sock chamber from my acrylic sump and later regretted it. My sump was always a detritus trap and required a lot of attention, its now in the landfill.
This is just my experience and its part of the fun to try things. Best of Luck

I want the Clarisea but have no room for it. Do you know of a sump that will accommodate it and fit in the E260 cabinet?
