hello everyoneI have a question. In a European seawater forum I read so much about leaking Red Sea pools. I myself have a Penninsula 500 built in 2019/2018. I can say that I have no problems with it at all, even the silicone seams are still perfect. What is it like in the USA? are many Red Sea pools affected?

Good question, I would like to know if someone collected data to see if certain models have more/less issues.
I don’t recall seeing the 250 and below having issues.
I have 250 I did pay some attention.

If it’s not a G2 you’re in full risk. Hundreds of g1 seams failed without warning. No way to detect and prevent other than don’t own one

My Red Sea Reefer 350 Deluxe lasted 7 years before the front left seal failed and started leaking, luckily it was only about 30 litres went on the floor. Managed to get most of my SPS and LPS safely into my better half's, same model but newer, tank. We will not replace it, enough to do with one tank.

Sadly, I wouldn't buy another Red Sea tank, despite them looking great.

I have a reefer 425xl since July 2019, no leaks or signs of it. I think a lot of leaks (not saying all of them!) are caused by people too obsessed with cleaning the edges of front glass (I never clean glass near silicone seals) - they end up delaminating the silicone seal over time.
