Hello.

Anyone have experience with Red Sea Trace Colors? What kind of results are you getting? Is the product worth it?

Can you mix the coral colors together? I know you can't mix the solutions in one container but...
Can I get a "T" fitting for my doser and tie A and B to be dosed together and do the same with C and D?
That way I would be using two dosing heads instead of four?

Also, if I did this, would I need to double the dose? For example, if I'm dosing 10ml of each, if the lines are tied together with a "T" fitting, would that dosing head need to dose 20ml?

Thank you.

When I was dosing this product, I would add a full weeks worth to my ATO res. Never had an issue doing it that way.

There's a video or two about results from using it. But there was no visual improvement during it's use. Have you tested with the trace color test kit? Imo probably not worth dosing separately if your not testing or deficient.
I use aquavitro fuel for coral food and it has trace combined in it.

I've been using it with good results so far.

I think the results is highly dependent on if your system is deficent in it. Ive been using it for 6 months now. Color has been good but i can't tell if its due to dosing bc i dont have a "control group" and bc there are so many other variables that influence color (light spectrum, nutrition, params, etc..). I do it more to replenish the trace elements bc I rarely do water change now and my tank is pretty heavy stocked now with corals.

ya I use fuel as replenishment (2 in 1), but I dont think ill buy ABCD again without testing at least. dosing based off calcium sounds a bit too generalized

You might be able to combine AB and CD with a T junction into two dosing heads. I’m not sure what if any reaction mixing the two may cause (Red Sea could probably tell you for certain).

Yes, you’d want to double it to 20ml - but I’m not sure if you’d get an equal amount from each container. In theory you should, it just rarely works out that way.

I switched to Nyos and just manually dose once a week. One less supplement and I don’t need a doser.

Well, i just ordered my first ICP so I guess I'll find out if its worth it!
