Red setosa vs purple stylo par

I just got a few frags from an online auction including a red Setosa and purple stylophora.

All other things being equal, which one would do better at a lower PAR?

I am trying to save some of my highest PAR real estate for some future sticks so these two have a few options of where I put them. The spots vary in PAR but not sure which one I should put in the higher spot.

My Setosa does pretty good at the bottom of the tank or in the middle. My purple Stylophora grows in full light and on the sand bed. I think the Setosa does better in lower light than most montis. Basically you should be able to put either in lower light. I would choose the Setosa myself - they tend to go more pink in lower light and orange in higher light in my experience.

Let’s swap to flow. If one spot has more flow than the other which should get more?

My Setosa likes more flow than my Stylo does but both tend to do ok with decent flow. The Setosa is one of those that will shape differently depending on the flow pattern.

Thanks, and perfect. The few spots I was thinking for them range from about 160-210.

Either will do fine above 150 PAR and modest/strong flow. I think the greater consideration is pace and shape of growth. They can get big FAST. Of course this depends on how small it is to start with, but they are going to outgrow any acropora you put in there.
