Red shrooms melting?

Hi everybody I have some red mushrooms which suddenly decided to melt away anyone have an idea what could be going on here? Other corals look fine including other shrooms. Water tests fine.

Alk 8.6
Mag 1450
No3 ~12
Po4 .02
S.G. 1.026
Temp 77.4
I run 1% daily awc and just dropped some carbon in the tank to eliminate outside toxins?
I’m at a loss any ideas?

Tonight when I got home..

Lights were off but they are literally disintegrating..while other corals looked fine with great PE??

Whoa. That’s weird.

On up note , better for you as those will take over a tank and will sting a lot of other corals.

But, do you have any other mushrooms ? Nems ? Aptasia?
How are they?

Other shrooms seem to be fine. Only recent change I can think of was an increase in the photoperiod of 15 min but I can’t see that causing this kind of damage to shrooms..

Carbon stripping water of its nutrients?

Hadn’t run carbon for at least a week prior to this. Added some last night in case it was a toxin in the water.

Could also be a localized bactetrial infection. Had this happen a while back and treatment with antibiotic stopped the infection.

Not sure where you live, but did your heat in the house just start coming on?

Fish Flox (Cipro) - but you have to do it in a hospital tank.

Water change and verify parameters with a water sample from a trusted store and compare readings. Inspect rock also for foreign matter such as eggs of some sort, aptasia, etc.
Additionally a little nitrates are welcomed by shrooms as is light feedings.
