Moved into our first house mid January. At the same time my reef moved into its second home. Two weeks ago I noticed this shiny metallic red stuff growing in my fuge. Looks sort of like a web. It's isolated to my fuge. My dt and other sections of my sump are pristine. Nutrients are a tad high because my yellow tang came down with the ich from the move. So I've been rammin food down his throat. Hes been fat and happy for two months now. So anyways I've never seen this algae before. My first instinct is to manually remove it but I'm hesitant to disturb it for fear of spreading it to the rest of the system. I'll have pics tomorrow when I get home from work. Should I let it be until my bi annual sump scrub down? Remove it now? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I had Cyano in my sump when I ran one, thats where you want it to be, if your system is in good shape it shouldn't migrate to the DT. If you don't like it there, you can scoop it out, or add a powerhead perhaps to get the water moving in there a bit.
