Red slime algae

I am getting red slime algae. Tried cutting back the lighting. Anyone already been through this? I couldn't imagine

110 gallon, 30 gallon sump, current dc flow return pump.ultra violet uvula sterilizer, diy algae scrubber, in sump skimmer. Temp. 78.4 salinity 1.026. Haven't tested other parameters in a bit. About 7.8 ph
 
Dosing anything? If dosing anything with amino acids in it, stop or decrease the dosage.

yes agree with rkpetersen and check phos and nitrate. if elevated reduce feeding and keep salinity as is reducing light will help a bit but might want to consider a reactor with phosban worked wonders for me.
 
also with a 110 you may need more than one circulation pump to avoid dead spots that's probably what is causing it to form on the bottom. increase flow and do a water change and suck out as much as you can.
