How long has your tank been running?
There is a product called chemiclean, that will completely wipe out all cyano, but cyano is part of the new tank uglies, and usually will cure itself.

I let mine get terrible and ended up dosing chemiclean. But, the key was my refractometer was out of calibration.
So I don't know how you check your salinity, but if you use a refractometer, and don't have calibration fluid, I would get some and check that first.
Algae and Bacteria tend to thrive in lower salinity. Just a thought.
Typically, 120 days would be long enough that you shouldn't see cyano any longer as part of your cycle.
