Think I have a little outbreak of red slime. My phosphate was a little high so I started using seachem phosguard about 2 weeks ago and have changed a couple water changes (now using water from my LFS). Any tips on how to get it under control?

Looks like you are new member to the forum...if so make sure you introduce yourself here https://www.reef2reef.com/forums/new-to-saltwater-reef-aquariums-post-here.130/

Could you supply some more detail's about your tank? It looks pretty new by looking at the sand. If it is a new tank, it will go through some growing pains while the bacteria compete for nutrients. You could add a bit more flow to the tank to help problem areas or during water changes siphon out the cyano...if you grab a little sand that ok too, just rinse and put back into the tank.

Cyano benefits from mainly Lighting, nutrients (excess nitrates and Phos), and low flow. Looking closely at these will give you a good head start to finding the root of the problem. Lighting maybe inadequate or bulbs may be out of date, flow may not be enough.

Cyano can be a stubborn foe, but you can win the fight. @Salty0331 is spot on with finding the underlying cause, as that will help ensure you don't have to deal with BGA time and time again.

There are a number of possible causes in your aquarium, but luckily those can be remedied with some strategies targeted at nipping said causes in the butt. We have a nice breakdown of these causes and strategies here: http://www.saltwatersmarts.com/controlling-cyanobacteria-blue-green-algae-rid-aquarium-1596/

I can tell you from my experience using water other than RO/DI and not having enough flow is what caused these problems in my tank. After I invested in a nice RO/DI system and a couple nice power heads it cleaned right up!
