Here is the story I have a 15 gal nano it has been running about 8 months. I used a refugium for nutrient export it is small and I just grew chaeto. Everything was fine for quite a while then I started having a hair algae issue, so I got a phosphate reactor and I'm using seachem seagel as media. Now all the green hair is dying off the reactor is working so well it's even the chaeto is dying. However the red Slime seems to be getting worse. It is only in a lower flow area but my 2 240 gph circ pumps are set up perfect for my coral. I'm not sure if this is a product of the algae die off and I should wait it out or maybe do something different. The reactor has been running for about a week or 2. When I added the reactor I also removed an in tank bubble filter that I figured was a sink and made it so I can use a sock in my refuge because my tiger pistol is constantly kicking up sand. I was also thinking about trashing the chaeto. Let me know what everyone thinks.
